You won't believe it...

The baby still wouldn't show us the goods! Levi and I went in to the doctor very hopeful this morning that we were going to get a definitive answer on pink or blue. We talked with my belly and told it we needed it to cooperate today. I even had a cup of coffee to ensure lots of movement. When we got in, the nurse turned on the ultrasound and was so excited-the legs were open and giving us a perfect view...of the cord! Again!
(Insert angry Cartman sounds here.)

Turns out my placenta has attached near the bottom rather than at the back where most normally do, so the cord just happens to go right through the legs and down. We searched for a while and tried to get at it from different angles, but the nurse was hesitant to give any kind of definitive answer. As of now, she said if she had to guess she thinks it's a girl, since there was "no turtle." The first ultrasound technician guessed the same, but we're not buying anything pink until we get confirmation. But I DO want Levi to start practicing for tea parties, just in case. "More tea, Mr. Bear?"

  2. That must have been so fustrating! Mikes sister had the same "problem" with olivia's ultrasounds. They finally went and paid for the 4D and on try 2 she cooperated lol
